1. Policy - One of the key aims of the society is to be a point of reference for policy markers, to address concerns, and to provide high-quality information on the biometrics sector.

2. Public - With biometrics affecting every African citizen, the society's objective is to raise public awareness, to address concerns, and to promote the development of user-friendly, socially-acceptable, and ethical biometrics

3. Industry- Biometrics is one of the fastest growing industries and the society aims to support the development of a strong and competitive biometrics market in the European Union.

4. Research - With the area of research being paramount for the growth of an emerging technology such as biometrics, the society is working to promote and facilitate the development of world-class R&D, performance evaluation and standards for biometric technology
