Mission The general objective of the society is to establish a realistic vision for the future of the biometric industry in Africa. About the African Biometric Society The African Biometric Society is an PAN african society promoting the development of biometric technologies. The society is an independent African organisiation supported by it members whose overall vision is to establish Africa as the world leader in biometric excellence by addressing barriers to adoption and fragmentation in the marketplace. The society also acts as the driving force for coordination, support and strengthening of the national bodies. The society members span the wider biometrics community including biometric companies, research agencies, policy makers and user groups. The society works as an information hub and network that facilitates the exchange of information between these entities. The society has a number of key objectives going forward with regards to its role and its audience. Membership. Individuals and corporations can join the Society at no cost by sending a completed application to the appropriate Regional or National Group Secretary or, where available, via an on-line application (Join here). |
